Almost There!

All of our planning is coming together and whether we are ready or not, the second annual Help-Portrait event will be underway this time tomorrow! The final headcount for the Queens event comes in at over 50 volunteers for the day. Thats over six times the man (and woman power) this year. A few updates after the jump.

Those in Need

Those in Need

As the fervor of Help-Portrait reaches a high-pitch (we shoot this Saturday!), I’ve been explaining what it is about to multitudes of people.  I usually show them the website as a precursor; however, when at work, it falls to communicating via conversation only.  Without realizing it, I say, “We photograph those in need,” as though Help-Portrait is a charity event for the less fortunate.  The more I say “those in need,” and “the less fortunate,” the more confused I become by the phrases.  Over the past few weeks, I’ve had to stop myself from saying them, and really listen to what I am trying to convey.

We have the GoogleDoc that I previously mentioned up so if you are 100% sure you are coming, please fill-out this form here.  Please try to be as specific as possible.  If you are not going to be photographing that day and will be doing other tasks such as editing or just running things, under “equipment” you can leave it blank or state whether or not you will be bringing your own computer and what software you are proficient in.

It’s a little update but its a really important one so please take the time to fill out all of your info.
